Art Reception & Wine Tasting Friday Night 5-8pm
Nature Art & Eagle Photography Show Saturday 10am-5pm
The Arlington-Stillaguamish Eagle Festival announces the annual Eagle Photo Contest and Art Show presented by the Arlington Arts Council and the City of Arlington. The Art Show will be Friday evening with an Artist Reception & Wine Tasting Feb. 3rd 5-8pm & Art Show Saturday Feb. 4th 10am-5pm at Magnolia Hall 225 E. Third Street, Downtown Arlington. Artists will also be demonstrating unique and interesting art techniques during the show. Photos submitted for the photo contest will be featured in the art show. Along with a cash prize, the winning eagle photo may be displayed on the City’s website, featured in the City newsletter, and may be used in other ways to promote the City and future Eagle Festivals. Ribbons will be presented for the Best of Show (People’s Choice), Best Youth Art, and Best Eagle Photo. Best of Show and Best Eagle Photo will also be awarded $100 each. Arlington Arts Council dedicated the Bronze Eagle by Bill Matheson to Mayor Margaret Larson at her final City Council Meeting December 19, 2011. The Eagle is placed on the City Council Chambers at 110 E Third Street. Mayor Margaret was the recipient of the 2011 Sarah A Arney Art Advocate of the Year Award. |

Arlington Arts Council presented its ninth annual FALL INTO ART AUCTION on Saturday, October 15 at the Medallion Hotel. Approximately $11,000 was raised from the event to bring more public art to Arlington. Thank you to those that donated works of art to be auctioned and the members of the community that attended. Several public art proposals were posted for viewing/voting. The Arts Council will be discussing these possible art projects for 2012. Check out the PDF file |

Installed in August! "Waterline" a major granite sculpture by Arlington’s own Verena Schwippert, is located near the labyrinth along the Centennial Trail. |

All good things are worth waiting for, and this, our first entryway sign funded by the 2009 auction with contributions from the City of Arlington and Downtown Arlington Business Association, was installed. Thanks to Marguerite Goff and Lance Carleton for the finishing touches. Planning will soon begin on the next sign. |

Art is also displayed at Petite Sweet Bakery 318 N Olympic Avenue and at the Arlington Library. |
